The Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee has representatives nominated by their respective organisation/specialties/colleges. The committee formally convene three times a year, with the majority of the guidance review and development transpiring between meetings.

The JRCALC administrative base is provided by the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) .
