JRCALC Clinical Guideline Updates

In the October 2024 JRCALC Clinical update, Drowning and Overdose and Poisoning in Adults and Children have been fully reviewed and updated.

Maternity updates include Imminent Birth and Cord Prolapse, which now sits as its own tile on the app, along with the introduction of the brand new Pre-hospital Maternity Decision Tool.

Key updates include:

  • Overview and Poisoning in Adults and Children
  • Dexamethasone
  • Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
  • Anaphylaxis and use of ipratropium 
  • Spinal injury and spinal cord injury

Maternity care updates

Camella Main, Susie Rhind and Dawn Kerslake led the guideline update groups which have undertaken a full review and update of Imminent Birth and Cord Prolapse, as well as creating the new Pre-hospital Maternity Decision Tool.
