Although the JRCLAC committee lead on the writing and development of guidelines a lot of work is delivered by Guideline Development Groups, dedicated to each topic or review.  The development groups receive invaluable support from the Library and Knowledge Service for NHS Ambulance Services (LKS ASE)

Details of current guideline development groups can be found here.

Since the 2019 Reference book was printed a considerable amount of work has been delivered to keep guidance up to date. To see the list of updates issued, click here.

The current work plan on 2021 involves developing new guidance on:

  • Hanging
  • Non Traumatic pain
  • Steroid dependent patients

These, along with updates to a variety of existing guidelines including vascular emergencies, treatment of asthma, maternities and others, will keep experts busy through 2021

In 2022, JRCALC expect to be in a position to publish a new edition of the guidelines containing all the updates since 2019 along with a variety of new content.
